ADASCO wins Onua Sankofa Cooking Competition at Asafotufiami
Four ADASCO students took first place at the second Onua Sankofa Cooking Competition during the Ada Asafotufiami festival.
Four students of Ada Senior High School (ADASCO) have emerged winners of the second edition of the Onua Sankofa Cooking Competition, staged as part of the Ada Asafotufiami festival celebrations.
Representing the school, Ebenezer Wiafe, Margareth Popolampo, Martha Essumang and Iklimatu Azah prepared Kunle — roasted corn flour and gravy — served with grilled tilapia. Their dish was judged on execution, appearance and taste by a panel of professional chefs.
ADASCO finished ahead of community group “We are for Ada,” Ada College of Education, and Ada Technical Institute. Each member of the winning team received a gas cooker and other souvenirs from the competition sponsors.
The win adds to a growing list of cultural and extracurricular achievements that showcase ADASCO students beyond the classroom — Onward Ever Onward.
