ADASCO places first in Ada cultural quiz competition
Ada Senior High School topped the Jetse Development Foundation quiz on Ada culture, history and Asafotufiami traditions.
Ada Senior High School has placed first in a quiz competition organised by the Jetse Development Foundation for second-cycle institutions in the Ada area.
Eight contestants — two from each participating school — competed in Dangme on topics including the history of Ada, clans of the Traditional Council, tourism resources, and the meaning of the Asafotufiami festival.
ADASCO finished with 157 points, ahead of Bedeku Technical Institute (143), Ada Senior High Technical School (142), and Ada Technical Institute (96). The winning school received a rotating trophy, while the top three schools also received citations and cash donations.
Organisers said the contest was designed to help young people learn and pass on Ada history and cultural values. Certificates of participation and rechargeable lamps were presented to all contestants during the festival thanksgiving service.
